Membership Information


Del Rey Yacht Club offers a variety of activities and facilities to its members. Boat owners and non-owners alike enjoy the finest dining and club facilities in the Marina. There are a variety of social activities to choose from for men, women and children. Our Cat Harbor facilities in Catalina Island offers a full kitchen, showers, toilets, gas grills, and more in a congenial, almost tropical atmosphere. No other Catalina facilities can compare to ours. Additionally, membership offers:
  • 12 to 15 Cruises and 25+ planned social events annually.
  • Fine cuisine in a grand dining room overlooking the marina.
  • Educational seminars on sailing, power boating, fishing, maintenance, first aid at sea, CPR, and other yachting activities.
  • Club facilities at Cat Harbor on Catalina Island include BBQ's, heads, hot showers, ice maker, full galley and picnic table seating for 200.
  • An outstanding Junior Sailing Program recognized coast to coast.
  • Over 300 slips and secure parking for 300 cars.
  • Heated king-size swimming pool with adjacent outdoor patio dining areas.
  • Internationally famous, biennial Sail boat Race from Marina del Rey to Puerto Vallarta.
To enjoy membership in Del Rey Yacht Club, you can choose from a list of membership categories to find the one that best suits your needs and life style. These categories include:
  • Flag:  Full slip-holding privileges, voting and holding office privilege.  Full participation in all activities.
  • Mariner:  All privileges of a Flag with the exception of holding a permanent slip, and holding an officer position, and no voting rights.
  • Corinthian:  Similar to a Mariner.  No slip lists and no boat in Club.  Strictly a social experience.
  • Intermediate:  Stepped equity membership for those under age 40.
  • Racing (membership for experienced active yachtsmen who have the ability to advance DRYC's racing program)
  • Junior Racing (membership for avid racing enthusiasts under 18 years of age)
